Anxiety

Feeling worried or getting stressed out about day-to-day activities on a regular basis is the common indicator of generalized anxiety disorder. Commonly known as anxiety, this condition involves being worried about small or trivial things, causing disruption in the person's daily life. Anxiety usually results in physical symptoms like headaches or feeling tired most of the time.

Anyone can experience this condition. Anxiety may begin during childhood or teenage years. Women are particularly more prone to this disorder.

Anxiety may be a symptom of an underlying health problem. These health issues may include depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition, hyperthyroidism can bring about anxiety problems.

Caffeine and medicines containing amphetamines can trigger anxiety. Illegal drugs like cocaine can also bring out the symptoms of anxiety.
