Dear Medicare Participating Patient:
Medicare Part D is confusing. I have spent a good deal of
time looking into alternatives.
USAA, my own insurance carrier, has recommended the Humana
programs as excellent ones. After looking at most everything
out there I also concluded Humana is offering good programs.
I was especially impressed with its Humana “PDP
Complete” offering. It is more expensive, $50.51 per
month, but it is the only plan I have seen that offers good
coverage in the “gap” area of Medicare Part D. This
“gap” usually leaves patients with no coverage for drug
expenses between $2250 and $3600 per year. Humana PDP
Complete covers that gap quite well.
This is most useful for patients who have fairly high drug
expenses, so it may not be the best for you. I do suggest
you look into this plan. Humana may be reached at
(800) 833-6578.
Sincerely,
